Evolution of Dermatome and Fasciatome
With this work we want to represent in 3D the fascial system principles from an anatomical, biomechanical, physiological, neurological and clinical point of view to illustrate the sophisticated interaction between fascia and with muscular, nervous systems in both physiology and in dysfunction situation.
These videos present the fascial evolution from the simplest living beings to humans. In addition to this, it will be presented the difference between the skin innervation (dermatome) and the fascial innervation (fasciatome), which allows us to better explain the typical radiating pain along the limb. It will be also presented the Systems: a functional interactions between organs, superficial, deep and visceral fascia.

Carla Stecco:
Surgeon, specialist in Orthopaedics, Associate Professor of Anatomy at the University of Padua. Author of numerous articles and books on fascia anatomy, from a macroscopic, microscopic and functional point of view. She is one of the founders of the Fascial Research Society and the Fascial Manipulation Association.
